About Me
Hi, I’m Tess! — yoga teacher, former D1 athlete, and someone who knows what it’s like to give everything to the game.
I played for KC Power from ages 14–18, with three top-10 finishes at Open Nationals. That journey earned me a full-ride to my dream school, LMU, where I played Division I volleyball.
But by the time I graduated, I was burnt out—physically, mentally, and emotionally. I took two years away from the sport to figure out how to feel like me again.
When I started training again, I made one promise to myself: 15 minutes of yoga before every run, lift, or practice. No exceptions. I thought it would help with recovery. I didn’t expect it to change my entire relationship with sport—and with myself.
Yoga healed my chronic injuries, calmed my performance anxiety, and reminded me how to listen to my body instead of just pushing it. That shift gave me the balance I needed to not just return to competing—but to actually enjoy it again. I went on to play professionally, earn MVP honors, and most importantly, feel proud of how I showed up for myself.
Now, I teach yoga to young athletes like you—because I wish I had found it earlier.
My classes aren’t about getting bendy or “being good” at yoga. They’re about slowing down, checking in, and learning how to take care of your whole self—not just your stats.
Whether you’re chasing big dreams or just need a break from the grind, this is your space to breathe, move, and hang out with your power.
